Elsie M. Barbour, 87, of Hamden, departed this life March 1, 2008. She was the widow of William Barbour, Sr.
Born in Morton, PA, November 10, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Beatrice Miller.
She is survived by her children, Carol Council and William Barbour, Jr.; a sister, Ruth Lee; 4 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; and other relatives.
She was predeceased by a son, Johnny Barbour; a grandchild; and several siblings.
A celebration of Mrs. Barbour's life and legacy will be held Thursday, March 6, 2008, at 7 PM at Curvin K. Council Funeral Home, 128 Dwight St., New Haven. Friends may call from 6-7 PM. Burial Friday at 10 AM in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
